Also, I think sexism occurs when someone is so focused on their perceived negatives of a gender that they have lost all acknowledgement of, and appreciation for, the positives. You tend to find what you are looking for in people, and if you are looking for things women or men do that you don’t like, you’ll probably find some
There’s 2 huge common pitfalls with this:
1. They are usually basing their entire perspective on a gender based on their experiences with a few individuals, which is statistically completely unfair to that gender
2. They are never bothering to consider how their own behavior might influence the behavior of those inviduals
