Ya there’s really no way to “resist” the future
While I feel bad for the thousands of human rideshare drivers whose jobs are now threatened, I have been saying for years that if you drive for a living you need to start developing back up skills/education/trade. The real blow will be when auto-driving trucks put millions of truckers nationwide out of work. Any job that requires a visual diagnostic, such as repair work, will be very difficult to automate for a long time But despite that I dislike the automation, my options to resist are 1. Not ever give them a dime - this is a given. I have never used a rideshare unless super drunk and not able to crash at a friend’s house, which is rare, and in that case it’s always Uber because that’s the app I have installed and I hate installing new apps. Otherwise for everywhere else I have a beautiful 2021 Tacoma 2. Vandalize them - lol this ain’t Cali, we have class [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] 3. Move - aka run from my problems? Pass 4. Vote them out - never seen them on a voting docket but this option has the most promise I guess | ||
