Read pretty much all their books as a kid, some multiple times. I used to be a voracious reader as a kid

I think the one where the kid puts a scary mask on that he can’t take off was the first “scary” book I ever read

If I recall most weren’t that scary (sometimes moreso cool than scary), except for one that I’m hazy on now but it was like I think the kid’s parents had been killed by plants and replaced with imposters or something? That were also plants? That one actually kinda scared me as a kid
