Just to clarify - you're attempting to connect to one of the (3) Project1999 servers with this client and not one of the (79) others, right?

Can you please attach a screenshot of the error you're seeing? You mentioned the missing file, but are able to see character select?

lol I may be a victim of my own stupidity. I was trying to play on EQ might. Blue, green and red are working fine.
Trouble shooting using AI and it didn't tell me that you can only play on blue, green and red.
It just kept telling me that you can't connect to the p99 servers if the wsock32.dll isn't present.
do I still need to download the dll file and put it in my C:\Windows\System32 like Lambparade said?
what are the other servers and how do you play on them?

Again, thank you everyone lol I have to be honest I'm getting back into computers for the first time since like 2008 so I'm not exactly the best at all this.

My dad, his friends and I used to play original EQ back when it was released up until like 2004, but I was pretty little back then and probably never leveled past maybe lvl 25.
If Theres any old heads here, you might remember an Elf cleric named Nads Dangle, that was my father's main character and Dad lived on Ever Quest for years.
I'm super exited to play again this means a lot to me seriously lol
