CSR Team Staffing Update

Greetings, Fellow Norrathians!

When I took on Lead GM in 2024, I was excited for the possibilities. My initial post to you all as lead shared a few key priorities: Transparency, Respect, CSR Team Organization, Special Events, and Raiding. Reflecting upon these, I feel like we’ve made progress in many of them (and not as much as I would have liked in others).

• We've simplified policies and reduced the number of one-off rules to drive transparency and understanding
• We've added a more defined org structure to the CSR Team. By providing this level of focused support, we've successfully reduced petition response times for things like Item Reimbursements and IP Exemptions from months to days in most cases
• We've put on some great server-wide events that have gotten strong reviews from participants - while also using them to establish a framework of repeatable processes amongst the staff to help move events like this forward in a more planful way in the future

I haven't ever desired to be a figurehead on P99. I much prefer doing the work to enable the members of the CSR team to do their absolute best to support the players on the servers. I've gotten to a point in my life where the time I have available to dedicate is being greatly hampered, and I feel like I haven't been able to support the team nearly as much as I would have liked over the past 6 months or so. All good things - family commitments, a promotion at work with greater responsibility, etc - but still things that need to take priority.

To all the members of the CSR team, thank you for everything you do - it's often a thankless job for gamers-at-heart to stop playing games themselves and instead provide services for players, and I'm sorry I've been more absent recently than I would have liked to be.

Effective immediately, Blistig will be taking over as the Lead GM across all P99 servers. In his new role, he will lead the CSR team and focus on making sure they have what they need to support you all. Having worked with him for years, I have the utmost confidence that the CSR team is in excellent hands. Please join me in congratulating him.

A huge thank you to Nilbog and Rogean for all that they've accomplished. P99 has given me an opportunity to relive some of the best parts of my teenage and early adult years - including my time as a player as well as my time as a guide on EQ Live.

I still plan to pop in occasionally as time allows, and still hope to help out on the server in an administrative capacity (assuming Blistig lets me!), so I hope to see many of you again from time to time. Thank you, all, for being a part of what makes P99 so incredible - an incredible and passionate community who shares our combined love of this game and the nostalgia it brings.
