I wouldn't call it a waste of money buying cheap servicable items. After all, you can resell them if/when you upgrade.
At any rate, fortunately there are a lot of cheap items that don't get replaced quickly, so those are a safe bet to start off with. 5/55 rings you mentioned (and the ears, necklaces, etc...all the jewelry from eq classic) offer an excellent bang for the buck. | ||
