+1 to the notion that WoW is not as "easy" as people tend it to believe.
cartoonish - yes, casual - yes, easy to level up - yes, no raiding competition - yes, anti-social (to a point) - yes
But high end raids are tough
SCB is right saying that Blizz keeps changing it around too many times, which causes people who played during vanila not to like BC, people from BC era not to like WotLK, etc.
I am not much of a WoW player (I have a free account thought, and occasionally like to log in to my mage and shot firebolts

I liked original freedom of picking up ANY talents I wanted, and talent picks determined the specialization. Being hard locked into a specific spec eliminated entire need for having a talent system.
However with MoP (Mists of Pandaria) they again changing the system from having lots of multi-rank talents into few but BIG talents. I think they moving into right direction, they just need to drop the forced spec, and allow people to determine their spec by specific talents instead.
I like the idea behind their monk class, and I think Pandarens are cool, but I can't forgive Blizz for killing my favorite char - Arthas/LK
