I spoke with a few 50+ shaman on the server recently and asked them for their overall opinion on the stat debate.

It basically came down to having a blend, with (surprisingly to me) AC being the most important (apparently because it's the hardest to stack on chain/shaman wearable items) followed by a blend of HP/WIS (because this gives you the greatest overall cannibalize buffer) and then everything else.

At the end of the day, I think the race you choose is not going to be a deal breaker.

I see both arguments (Ogre vs. Troll), but for me I chose Troll because I want regen since I'll be sitting on my ass alot while grouped and while that rooted mob is DoTed up and cooking.
