Sullon Zek was the most hardcore pvp server because there were no pvp brackets and no rules. Its the best pvp experience because it fit the world of eq. You could be 15 in Oasis and get destroyed by a level 40 sand giant, or wander into the wrong town to be killed by guards instantly. In a way though because you could be killed by a level 60, at any time, it caused the teams to really work together to help eachother to survive. Level 60s would actually come help out people leveling and protect zones and buff people to help their team. Having three teams meant you had enemys and allies. Having allies when you start is important. It was almost like gang warfare and turf warfare, certian team groups would be in certian areas closer to their towns, it made the town you banked in matter. IMO the main problem was splitting classes. From the begining good and neutral teams had the ranger and druid class and the evil team had necromacers and shadowknights. SKs and Necros are arguably better in pvp then druid and ranger and definately better in pve so therefore evil thrived at pve and got the upper hand around kunark time.
