Playing mmorpgs to me just allowed me to feed my need to know more about development and programming and helped drive me in my career.

If I went back in time I would do it again.
What you learned about development and programming playing this game, you could have learned playing 1/4 of the time that you did. Trying to justify playing 12 hours a day during the end of your college years because of those reasons is reaching and, if I actually knew you, disappointing.

I spent a lot more time playing this game during the end of my high school days all the way up through most of vanilla wow, then I really should have. Did I have fun doing it? Yes I did, but that doesn't mean that playing this game for 12 hours a day was a wise investment of my time.

You only live once, and do you really want to look back and see the best years of your life being spent in a virtual world with a bunch of backstabbing sociopathic assholes? I really hope not.
