Is Suicide a Courageous Act?

Soldier/marine going on a one way mission to accomplish a task, particularly ones that involve them actively ending their own lives in the process (detonating a bomb) would be considered a most courageous act. The same would be said about someone diving on top of a grenade tossed into a foxhole. You could even say the same about kamikaze pilots.

The Sandy Hook shooter who put a bullet in his own head when they had him cornered? Hitler? Cowards.
