Wow.
Christopher Cervini (the 17 year old who was shot and killed) was also breaking into Roderick's car at the time (Roderick Scott caught him doing it) along with 2 other young boys. The three kids were legally drunk, were on amphetamines (both intoxicants were also stolen), and had been breaking into every car on the street that night. One of the three kids was on probation for a second time, didn't want to get caught, so Roderick was rushed. So: Roderick Scott sleeping in his bed when he heard a sound outside and caught the kids in a criminal act who were legally intoxicated on several counts, and he was outnumbered by two at 3AM in the morning. VS Stalking a kid walking home in his neighborhood at 7PM in the evening because you think he looks like a criminal, and claiming that because you were losing the fight you instigated that you were in fear for your life and therefore had a right to kill. Good try. He was not a neighborhood watch vigilante patrolling in his car. His property was being broken into. Not even close to an equivalency. | ||
