Default Stupid newbie questions

Just started playing on P1999, and what server do I pick? Red99 to play on super hard mode. Got a few questions which I poke around about, didn't get a firm answer, so please excuse the n00b.

1) "Easiest" class to make friends? - Picked druid seemed like the right decision. Become taxi -> Get Plat -> get bitches, and make friends. Seem like they are decently strong, can dot someone and run around for as long as they can and basically wear someone out (from what I read)

2) Reading the server "rules" for R'99 (the one that tells you the mechanics how things work), on pvp death, you lose the coin you were carrying if I am correct. Also there's an XP modifier? Anyone care to confirm/deny if there's a XP modifier, starts at 100% at L1 scales down to 0% at L50. No idea if this is still in place so thought I would ask.

3) OOC is global? Seems like it just thought I would check.

4) Is there any central "trade" hub like ECommonlands tunnel (guessing no, but again checking), as there's no real safe zone to trade in.

Server seems fun, X guild hax/exploitz, Y guild is full of douchebags/trolls, one of the best communities I have seen in a long time, which isn't full of 13 year old kids trying to flex their e-peen over their pixels.

Sam wise I really did expect better from you, we got a new player here who is interested in starting, why further drive away people? Really no one should be responding as a smart ass like you.

Druid yes, another popular choice is bard.

When you die its coin loot only, loot fast because the window is only open for so long.

Exp mod is I believe 200%, something ridiculously high, at level 55 I was getting a blue per quad, which is very good.

/ooc is global but must be level 10+ [prevents people from making level 1's and spamming]

No central trade hub but a big meeting up spot is Rivervale. Since ooc is server wide there is no reason for 20ish + people to sit in 1 zone and auction, but its not uncommon to see people say meet me in Rivervale.

I wasn't being a smart ass though. Get carried and geared without all the hassle. He asked about easy class to get friends. I was just giving him an alternative to the obvious Druid answer.

I would go to blue but then I would miss out on colourful commentary in /ooc [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] (and yes I am Canadian and it is spelled coloUr tyvm)

Thanks for the responses, was thinking bard but only two starting zones are super populated unfortunately.

Going to stick with the druid, due to freedom of movement for now see where it takes me.

Wanted to know about the gold loot, so I knew if I had to bank all my coin or not (don't want to lose everything just what I was carrying at the time so tyvm)

Definitely missed a game like this, a small niche game like Darkfall, the nostalgia of Everquest, and the smacktalk of a pvp game [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Keep being awesome everybody!
