Cant login in..Server select screen times out

I was just playing and zoned, client crashed. Upon relaunching a new EQEmulauncer, I enter in account info/password, and sit at a blank server select screen until I get a timeout error. Been trying all morning. Anyone else experiencing this? Any ideas how I can fix it? Please and thank you!

Have you been right clicking and "Run Everquest" from the launcher?

I ask because the EQEmu launcher is no longer functioning with P99.

EQEmuLauncher has been deprecated and is no longer supported. The setup guide and latest patch notes have been updated with the new method of obtaining required game files.

To make a shortcut on your desktop to launch the game, follow these instructions:

Right-click on the eqgame.exe icon within your everquest folder, select Create Shortcut.

Right-click on the Shortcut to eqgame.exe you created in step (2). Select Properties.

In the Properties menu that appears, edit the target line to say "C:\EverQuest\eqgame.exe" patchme. The quotes are only needed around the destination string if it contains spaces. Select Apply and then OK to close the properties box.

If you haven't patched the game in October, follow these instructions:

Download the latest eqchangesvXX.zip file from the patch notes. As of this post, we are on v30, found . http://www.project1999.org/files/P99Files30.zip

Extract the eqchangesvXX.zip file into the C:\Everquest directory, overwriting any files it asks for.

What I don't understand is that my shortcut has been setup like this since Oct 09 (AFAIK). Nothing new yet lots of new connection/zoning issues since last patch.

When you get the blank server list, immediately hit back...log in again and repeat until it shows up.

I mean...if you get it 20 times in a row I don't think I'd keep trying. I've had to do it as many as 5 times but I've never NOT been able to connect.

Also, post your computer specs and your connection type in that other thread so we can compare similarities with others having the same issues.
