I haven't met a single mob I haven't been able to outrun with just SoW, and low level SoW at that. Starting at level 9 my ogre shaman was using SoW to dot kite. He had to stop and get hit to reapply the dots, but while he was running around in wide circles he wasn't getting hit at all, and if he ran in a straight line for a while he got farther and farther away from the monster. Some mobs may well run faster, but your everyday mobs can totally be outrunned with SoW.
