Actually Tecmos did some testing and proved the existence of a scaling bonus that starts at 100% (level 1) and appears to drop by 2% a level. For example, a level 1 of the same race/class received exactly twice the experience on red as on blue as recently as a week or two ago but the bonus at level 45 was negligible at best.
That of course has no effect on 50+, it's no different here than blue aside from the zero groups and constant PVP.
I must admit I tried being optimistic but when "by the end of the week" stretches into two and three weeks without any word at all I've pretty much given up on optimism. I'm the kind of EQ player who loves making alts and leveling them to experience difference classes and my play time is probably 1/10th of what it was even a month ago. I have a 51 rogue, 53 warrior, 40 necro and 52 monk I want to level up, but I guess I don't have the neckbeard I once had as the thought of putting in 15+ hours per level on these alts now just makes me want to not log in.
