PvE is exhilarating and fun. What happens though is neckbearding. My group of friends has no realistic chance of getting our epics done unless we buy them off neckbeards or play 5-7 days a week and join a zerg/top-end guild. Its just dumb.

Exactly. Losing a zone is part of the PvP server. You guys lost Unrest to an unfair fight. Move on to somewhere else. On the other side of it if you guys go into a zone and win that zone against someone else, it is all yours. It is the difference between fighting for the zone versus waiting in line for possibly hours on blue.

There's a difference between losing an unfair fight and being griefed.

Losing an unfair fight is PVP, where you lose cause you're caught off guard or outplayed or outnumbered or even outgeared. Getting griefed by OOR support isn't PVP, and the PNP contemplates this, and (assuming OP's story is true-ish) I hope people get banned.

I appreciate all the advice / input from everybody. It really is all about the journey. and if the journey is just griefer's with level 60 out of range druids It might not be the journey for me. For some reason everybody thinks I just want to exp as a new player. I want to pvp but it doesnt seem like many other people below 50 are interested in that. I guess you could call an invincible twinked sk with a 60 oor healer/buffer pvp but its not the kind of pvp im looking for.

I know how you feel, orran. These are the thoughts I had when I started red a couple months ago after being a die-hard red hater for years. Other people who are leveling up USUALLY don't want to PVP. The people who do want to "PVP" only do it in the context of ganking (twinked SK rolls in on you when you're XPing, etc) or griefing (OOR support).

Hopefully the staff will realize they put too much time into this server to continue allowing players like chewie to chase off new blood under the pretext of "PVP" so that red can grow and be a place for PVP.

Well getting "griefed" by getting smoked by a twink or player with OOR help sucks but with PnP it is only 1 pvp death. It is only about 15 minutes out of your way to get corpse and try somewhere else. If people are holding down a zone like this hopefully aid comes eventually. It is one of the reasons yellow text is a good thing, to show the server what is happening. Situations like this can actually bring the community together and connect low level with higher levels that are anti-grief players.

I think the PnP rules limit the damage of the griefer mentality and the server needs villains. Some people like playing white knight and want the chance to attack the griefers. It gives people something to do.

I know less casual scum on blue will make your existence feel invalidated, but you'll live...sadly.

It's pretty anti social when the dozen people or so you hang with are the only people you even see as humans and your goal for every other player is to grief them off the server.
