I've no idea what universe you're referring to. Everything about western culture and every other modern culture is rooted in multiple religions and religious practices. Everything is built on the past, everything is both derivative and reactionary. Christianity has been gradually softened by 500 years of Liberalism. Back in 1500 they were burning witches at the stake, the spanish inquisition, etc etc. Islam, on the other hand, has not substantially changed from its inception.
