Well, your story may or may not be true. But you may find getting people to believe it true rather difficult. I try to be nice, friendly, and helpful quite often. In all the years of playing EQ on live and now on P99, I have never once had anyone try and gift me vast sums of money. I am going to speculate that most have had a similar experience as mine. I have never spoken with or had any interaction with Rogean. But if I may make one supposition, he probably didn't ban too many for small money exchanges. If you and your friend split a couple hundred plat gifted as a tip for helping out and received a ban, then petition. If it was substantially more than that, I suggest you take the advice of others and make a new toon with the new found knowledge of how the server works. Accounts with no high level characters attached that suddenly have large sums of money are going to be deemed suspicious. These large scale bannings may be an inconvienence for the innocent, but are essential for the health of the server. As a member of Dark Winter, I see first hand the negative impact on good people when betrayed by RMT'ers.

So your claiming u helped a guy transfer items and he paid you a "bunch" of plat for that. It all boils down to how much "a bunch" is. If he gave u a few hundred plat than you should petition, make your case, and they willl probably unban you. However i have a feeling that "a bunch" is a significant amount. If the amount of the "gift" was 10k or 100k, and you think anyone will beleive you that someone gave you that for helping transfer items then you must be retarted or think that the gms are retarted. Regardless dont even bother petitioning at that point because you know you rmt, gms know you rmt, and everyone else knowing the facts knows you rmt. Just accept that you rmt and got cought, and reroll hopefully not rmt this time.
