I'd just like to point out the servers first impression ^. That's pretty much the most transparent view.

Classic EQ's server population wasnt as stacked with high level people willing to raid 24/7. So this behavior (which has evolved through the past 10+ years) wasn't really there.

BUT

You can't deny that classic EQ didn't have its share of douchbagery. It's just taking a different form here.

So no, acting dickish (which WAS classic) isn't against the rules. There are exceptions however and I urge you to read through other forums before coming to any conclusions. Rants and Flames is not a representation of the overall realm.
