If red had the pop blue did it would be crazy competitive. I still think red has a chance if there is a new server that dumps into it one day (I'm not sure if this is only planned to happen for blue at this point). A few issues with red:

1) Economy sucks...not enough noob gear available. Honestly I don't even know how trading works on that server if you can kill someone and take their coin.

2) The server had item loot to start with...wtf? It was always a sliver of a minority that liked item loot, no matter how vocal they are on these forums. It's an antiquated system that doesn't work for a game like EQ. In other words, this server got off to the wrong start.

3) You can't beat them, you have to join them. I remember Crazycloud smoking PoT geared characters with 200 more AAs then him with his VT geared ranger. I really don't think before this era, however, that is really as viable. Maybe with casters...but not melee.

A new server that dumped into red 1999 eventually might fix these problems.
New server fully wiped
xp loss on pvp death full sullon zek ruleset with or without teams doesnt matter
