Make sure you check the Polar Bears Cubs for High quality skins (30pp in EC) and Polar Bear Skins (10-20p, although hard to find buyers). Bone chips (10p per stack?) Spiderling Silks (something a stack).

You have a pretty great newbie area for money actually.

Also, there is a great newbie quest line for barbarian shaman newbie armor. Look it up. I think Polar Bear Skins might be a quest piece.

I would collect up some of that stuff and head to EC maybe to get a weapon at level 9 maybe when you get gate and sow.
