He had just killed the two named and was relogging as mobs spawned...... you can see from the logs.... Again, you may be right if you wanna be a scummy rule lawyer, but you know he could have killed them, and he would have killed them in plenty of time before respawns.

No one is arguing that your rule lawyering is insufficient. You got lucky that he logged off to get on another character that you could steal his camp.

Which is why I never challenged the validity of said posted rule. This is human etiquette 101. I can understand if it was an extended period of time, but 2 minutes is faster than if someone had gone LD. Chest was gonna take the camp regardless, the logout / back onto another character was just dumb luck on his part that he could lawyer it.

Lesson Learned #1 - Chest has no soul and will use any out to fuck you over

I don't buy appealing to morality in this case either. If the situation were reversed, I'd be on OPs side. Has nothing to do with being kind, and I think it's disingenuous to attack someone's RL character over pixels. I doesn't feel great to get your camp yoinked, but it was "legal".

It's pretty harsh, but the guides wouldn't be able to mediate every little spat if the rules weren't clearly defined.

Besides, apparently OP is in there a ton? Give someone else a shot at the camp.

Can we at least agree this is pretty ridiculous regardless of who was within the rules? So much shade being thrown at Braknar, Chest, AND Op.

Irony. OP established self as a jackass in logs purporting to vindicate his behavior. Had you approached the other players or guide with something other than churlishness, this entire thing could have and I'd suspect very likely would have turned out entirely differently. At the very least the ban would not have been issued. A couple rules of success:

1. Don't make enemies
2. Don't pick fights you can't win
