Default Windows 10 DirectX and WinEQ2

Having a lot of trouble with lag spikes while swarm kiting or in mass PvP or significant spell particles. Laptop is brand new and should run this game on full tilt with ease yet it struggles and is causing tons of xp loss. I have tried tuning down the settings but am having the same trouble.

I tried to install WinEQ2 and the system says I have to upgrade my directX. I try to install DirectX End User or whatever it's called and Microsoft is trying to make me install Windows 10...wtf? right.

Any thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated.

Upon attempting to install the above file, there is an error saying you can't install this file using Windows 10

Odd, I installed this on my Windows 10 machine on Saturday and it worked fine. Tried Run as Administrator?

I literally just ran into this issue while setting up my new laptop (yay work gaming).

For anyone else out there having an issue even running WinEQ2 for the first time, download the dxupdater (I googled it) and it'll fix everything.

Using windows 10.
