Just open a classic only pvp server that auto wipes every 6 months + ingame leaderboard.

You don't have to worry about attracting the ones that quit work and school to play a video game, they will be there no matter what.

The cool and normal people would come back to a new server for a while and it would be a fun server for 1-2 years.
