I don't have a wife so I had to explain how the forum worked to the police myself.
It took some time, but I was able to let him know how the profile visiting thing works and that someone named CU REAL SOON had visited my profile. One thing that he asked was "DID YOU WANT TO SEE THIS PERSON? WHO IS HE?" I said "I don't know sir, its a person. He says he's going to see me real soon". Boom. He noted that I don't want to see anyone, and I sent him a screenshot of someone saying "C U REAL SOON". Done deal. The technological language barrier was broke with those 4 magic words and the police understood the meaning of it. You're fucked.
