People should still do PBAoE groups with wizards, you can kill 25 mobs at once and give the wiz his same AFK break as burning singles, and 5-man the singles until mana is ready for another AOE burn. Hell, even pulling 4 spawns and quad nuking / stunning may work well. It would make the group a hybrid AOE with nice exp flow.
Think wizards need to be bolder in this regard, rise up and change the meta. Would be hilarious for groups begging for wizzies. Amulet of the Void would be a great escape when AOE goes wrong. Wonder what a good group for that would be: Wiz / Mage / Enchanter / Necro / Paladin / Cleric? You can have 3 DA's up for pulling, 3 pet classes to dps singles with paladin tanking, necro to pump wiz / mage up during an AOE burst. Mod rod / clarity / twitch would keep this group going on the reg. Someone do this and report back.
