I've not read the entire book series however from what I have read and little tidbits online; Layanna and Rhaegar according to the books didn't have a child. And, Layanna died in the tower after suffering some type of wounds and catching a fever. What the hell am I missing? Is the child (*Jon Snow) only introduced in the TV series, or do I need to read the books and save face?

I'm satisfied... I try to remember this is just a TV show, that has been trying to wrap itself up. It can't possibly go into everything I would like it to. The only thing I'm really mad about is having to wait 2 years to see the ending.
