No reasonably good counter arguments were provided.

It is true that Voldemort and his posse of Death Eaters would have destroyed Sauron's army -- with both AoE magic and single kill spells. If Sauron somehow managed to club lord Voldemort to death (a laughable notion) -- he was far harder and less intuitive to actually kill. Where as all you have to do to finish Sauron is cut his ring off and walk your ass up to that volcano -- drop that piece of shit ring right in there.

Sauron is Classic...Voldemort is Luclin.

Cool

think we neglecting the true power of Sauron in this here nerdscussion: the rings of power. sauron would have befriended voldemort since both is evil sperglords and he'd've gifted a ring of power to him, which would then make volde into sauron's pet.

would the armies of light have stood a chance against the combined powers of sauron and voldemort combined? would sauron have even bothered walking onto the battlefield? would there have even been a battlefield? could gandyelf have collected the stuffs he needed to battle voldemort? could harry have survived his first 10 years as a orphan in middle earth? would his halfling foster parents have succeeded in hiding him from hogwarts?

Very good critical thinking!

5 points to hufflepuff

The funny thing that NO one has realized is that LotR is the pre-quel to Harry Potter. Sauron is Slythoring, Gandyelf Gryffindor, Elrond Ravenclaw, and Halfling Hufflepluff

together,, they build Hogwart. This is why

I actually did realize that: Spoiler alert

Gandalf IS Dumbledore.

We just lost cabin pressure.

Voldemort is just the latest Vilian. Soon Dumbledore the white will come back from the train station.

The only objection I have to this is that there’s basically 0 chance someone as power hungry as Voldemort would not be corrupted by the ring. I think he would definitely take it for himself and the cycle would continue.
