Idea is to keep really important or hard to get stuff deeper as a rule just because dispels exist. Be in the habit of that regardless of what you fight. Cleric HP, haste, CoTP, resists, haste, and haste are very hard to get rebuffed during a fight.

In reality, the only buff that matters is your haste buff. Make sure that’s well protected or you’re not doing your job.

You won't have any problem hitting the strength cap if you roll either barbarian or dwarf, and as long as you're semi-conscious while hitting your backstab hotkey no one will care about your dps while leveling. Sink those starter points into STA and don't look back.
