Incel is a term that bugs me.

Cant even say the R word anymore but:

"I have failed to connect with anyone because I've suffered from undiagnosed agoraphobia and manic depression because I had an abusive parents and have been alone for more years than I can count and it gets worse and worse."

"Oh that so sad I wish the republicans would stop trying to take your healthcare! See how empathetic I am?"

"I have not ever even had a sexual partner in my life"

"Haha OHH I didnt know it was all YOUR fault and you were an incel racist trump supporter! Maybe stop being a SExist IdiOT and lower your standards!"

Should be ashamed if you ever use that term as an insult IMO Unless you're a trump supporter, then by all means, but dont call yourself an empathetic person that cares about equality, if you cant see the obvious evil with that word.

My wife is as liberal as they come, prides herself on being empathetic, furious at the slightest hint of racism or misogyny... but bring up incels and oh boy you better watch out for the hateful rant. I love her to death but I think it's hard for women to understand not being desired sexually by anyone

However, I think when most people pick on incels they are picking on the online community like that found on r9k or now-banned subreddits that was generally hateful toward women, not just the status of being a virgin.
