you also forget in classic if someone bought an account they had to hide that because it was illegal to do so.

Who cares what they want to charge, pay what it's worth.

Pretty sure I saw someone advertising a Crafted BP for 1k not even a week ago.

I asked someone how much they wanted for a Platinum Dragon Totem, they wanted 800. Literally the day before I had seen one for sale at 400. People are always going to be ripping people off and trying to get more than something is worth, it's always been that way.

What we really need is a pricing data like Allakhazam had/has. If we had some sort of check and balance to make sure people weren't just posting 10000000p for a 500p item or 1p over and over to fuck with the price, I think it'd do the server a lot of good.
we do i believe http://auction.goonquest.com/auction?letter=p

It was never illegal to buy the "time invested" which is what and how people got around that.

Of course anyone who sold that time invested could always get the account back, which happened to someone I knew. Never liked the guy and I actually told the guy who stole his char back that I thought the shit was funny. We both had a good laugh about it. And then he hit me with KEI.
Honestly I never remember anyone selling their account openly pre luclin.

problem with goonquest is that it records what people are advertising, not what things get sold for

i like when you decline an offer/price and you get a torrent of know-it-all style abuse, even if you were polite. it really makes me think twice and generally i will then buy said item immediately.

Ive said it before. Items dont drop with pricetags, theyre worth what ever someone will pay for them.

Jeremy, I traded an Idol for Torpor! I think I got the better end of the deal~
