Your premise is flawed in that the sole basis in which you judge the server's health is:

1) The volume of new players joining.
2) The ease in which they can achieve high levels.

If Project1999 were a business and I had a stake in profits, I'd agree with you. But it isn't, so I don't.

Really? News to me. I'll have to take your word on it, unless Rogean/Nilbog comment. I guess it'd be whatever is past a C&D letter then - as in, when they actually got a court summons or something.

they have posted about the C&D letters before, I'm not sure how long ago the last one was, but they (p99) made it clear they've received a good amount.

Apparently the legal department of Sony/EQ whatev sends them whenever they deem anything to even be remotely questionable.

However, If they found that people were making money off this server and they weren't getting their cut, i'd imagine the whole thing would get shut down pretty fast. They'd just need a decent amount of proof.
