Game Mechanics: Items that should have range value

More research is required for this item. The postings on Zam indicate that this item was originally range equipable, but had a Range: 50 attribute which means you could throw it.

The above mentioned patch removed that attribute, but did not suddenly add range slot equipable to RBF.

Feb 02 2001: Very good resistances for ranged. I got one in Upper Guk the other day and carried it around for awhile until I happened to click on the auto equip area while shuffling items around and it landed in the ranged slot. Very nice. Just don't throw it.

Mar 18 2001: Ok, I understand what the Ranged slot is and all that but if i decide to use this weapon from a distance, i lose it?? Is that correct??

Apr 03 2001: if you throw this weapon you will lose it for good. kinda sucks but thats just the way it is.

Jan 25 2002: Just FYI: This is no longer a problem. They removed the Range attribute, this can still be equipped in the RANGE slot but cannot be thrown.
