I am content with the money I spent for Torchlight 2. I feel I got a lot of value out of that game, especially compared to those that purchased Diablo 3. Paying for things is not inherently bad, its when you know you are getting screwed by the content developer.

I should have qualified that by saying "people that pay for OLD and readily available software."

Just use Google sometime, it can be very powerful. Type in a question and it answer's it. Crazy, I know. That's how I got involved on the server.
