There are like 2 offenders. Why all these people, including yourself, are defending them i do not understand. Your rights are not being trampled. You are not being asked to change your habits. You are not being forced to do something you don't want to. Frankly you are not affected by this at all. Why you defend it.. i don't know.

There is no reason why that image should be allowed in server chat. One of you naysayers please provide us with a good reason why this isn't against the posted rules. Sarajo tried, and in my opinion...failed.

The problem is what is deemed NSFW is not universal. No place I've ever worked in my life would find those pictures objectionable.

Which gets back to the one thing no one seems to be able to explain: why do we ban porn but not bouncing boobs? Both are clearly designed to arouse, neither has anything to do with Everquest, and if we're all adults here, and we can all just disable sigs, why not just allow both of them?

As was stated before NSFW is not defined in said rules, therefore it is at the discretion of the moderators to enforce the rule as they see fit. Considering most of these "offensive" signatures have been around for quite some time, it is likely the mods don't feel they are NSFW.

It's a fine line, clearly. However I obviously agree with the people who feel that these signatures aren't that heinous. We, the community, are not the ones to draw any lines in the sand and say what is and what is not appropriate. I would be very, very sad if by virtue of someones jimmies being rustled that Cucumbers had to change his sig, many lulz have been had from this man.

Furthermore, if in real life I had the option to not view things I did not want to see in a very easy and straightforward manner I would just turn that shit off and never look back; definitely would not stand on a soapbox and profess about how I think my environment should change because I don't like what I see.

And honestly, I dispute that either the avatar or sig exists to arouse. It's there to amuse and nothing less. No one is getting their jollies from looking at a stupid avatar. Frankly, Swish's insane cat is more of a turn-on.

It's not against posted rules because it's not explicit and it's not NSFW. The sig in question of the woman on all 4's shaking her ass, she's covered, not touching herself, and not having sex. OP thinks it's NSFW because of where she works, while most of the rest of the community has different standards. The vast majority is fine with it, while the minority is not. There being an option to not see it for the minority is why people are defending it. Whether or not 99 out of 100 employers would think it's NSFW, the community majority is ok with it and there's an option for the rest.

Your argument is basically that you shouldn't have to click three check boxes because you're afraid of missing out, so the rest of the community should conform to your standards.
