Druid track nerf is classic.

Tracking was terrible in classic even for rangers. The 20 mob limit on it really made it hard to track what you wanted. Rangers would only see new spawns in their tracking range. Druid track was extremely limited due to its range. Brad track was worthless.

The rogue sneak/hide is kinda. There were 4 checks on classic for a mob to determine if they see you are not.

1 - Invis,
2 - IVU,
3 - Hide
4 - Sneak (Sneak only worked when behind a mob)

Each level was coded into the mob UI.

Classic - A lot of mobs saw through invis, few mobs saw through hide.
P99 (Pre patch)- A lot of mobs saw through invis, Extremly rarely did mobs see through hide.
P99 (Post patch)- Hide is like IVU/INVIS which a lot of mobs see through. This is wrong.

On classic through Velious rogues could sneak through a lot of places but they still had to check for that one rare mob that saw through their hide.

I've shared my feelings at length with a certain highly respected dev here regarding mob push. We'll see what comes of it.

As far as aggro list, I won't be in game to test it. It's kind of vague but I presume undead train on players correctly and that this is part 1 of many to get rampage etc working in Velious.

As for some of the rest of the things I saw come up, including in this thread..

Because they are finding threads 3-4 years after the fact which mentions or refer to it being another way then it actually was.

Nirgon is just wrong on many of the things he thinks is classic.

A lot of the annoyances people have are just bad game design that's classic and doesn't get patched out until velious / luclin.

First of all, check my sig, I played during this era on a pvp server. We were VERY focused on mechanics, esp considering we usually leveled in no drop.

Second, is this really game about items for you? I mean I know it is, but what a fucking waste.

Might know the classic pvp side but I know the classic pve as well as anyone.

You are correct on some things, as I mentioned above. But you are horribly wrong on other things. Like the 20% gate thing, also you are totally off on Traks AE as well.

Draught of Ice I'd say safely does 5% of a mob's life in Seb.

Now consider when a mob gated, it took 2-3 draughts to kill it from the point it would usually gate.

If I could have just killed a mob in 1 draught when it went for gate every time, it wouldn't have been an issue, would it?

Trakanon gate was a very real problem too, and hopefully, it is here now.

Man you keep talking about stuff that you just don't know.

Trakanons gate was an issue on live for sure but only in the beginning when every fight was close and the dps would die. But it wasn't due to the 20% thing it was due to the mobs regen 1600hp every tick. Making dragons gate at 20% makes them a ton easier.

Also dragons are using weapons here. They always clawed on live and never quaded in Kunark.
