I'll just clarify it into two categories cause I'm a bit lit at the moment

Metal I hate:

The weedily, weedily, check out my tech, semi-symphonic, guitarsturbation bands

Metal I love:

the chugging bass heavy, black sabbath worshipping, dirty, heroin drenched sludgefest of a band

Hey, I love me some Electric Wizard too. Who doesn't love stoner-doom metal with H.P. Lovecraft references? But they aren't even in the same ballpark as Opeth. But taste is taste.

I listen to a wide variety of metal ranging from the Scorpions to Judas Priest to Emperor/Mayhem/Immortal to Blind Guardian to Kvelertak/Carpathian Forest/Nattefrost to my favorite absolute metal band ever Moonsorrow.

Nu-metal is all flavors is garbage.

Depends what ballpark you're talking about, they're two completely different sounding bands with their own following. If I were to say which of these two bands has a stronger following, probably Opeth cause it's more accessible and not a whole lot of people really dive into the whole stoner/sludge metal scene

but if I were to compare these bands on some pure heaviness/density (I.E Daaamn they're heavy as balls!) factor Electric Wizard smokes Opeth like some left over roach weed

How can you have such good taste in ROCK but such bad taste in BASS AMPS??

Cause those Sunn concert amps and Green KT-88's are ferocious G

I have an opportunity to pick up a Eden 4x10 for $350 so I might go try it out
