And Dre, no one forgets that item loot was classic for free for all PVP server (rallos zek) in this era. Its just that this server as you said is a full custom debauchery that is highly influenced by the desires of a powerful segment of bluebies that only want pixels and want to AFK in them all they want without risk.

Another awesome thing about item loot is that all items are worth less platinum because people get things like ikky regens and just off them because they don't give a crap and don't want to have the lore item in their possession the next time they kill a sucker. Stuff was super cheap on RZ.

Well, I made a Halfling Druid tonight to give this a go and will continue to voice my hopes for item loot.

If anybody wants to hook me up with some shit gear, I won't argue, the solo grind on a small population PvP server seems daunting. Just shoot me a /t, pm, or post here and I'll do my best to remember how to get around Everquest and come bite yer ankle till you give up the goods.

Someone else was saying that's a ways away. What else is unique about the team server? I will move to any server with item loot, should I just wait?

consesus on this forum means nothing. 2/3 the players on the server never read the forum, and half the people on the forum do not play.

Cool I foresee you getting killed all the time when you OOM on any tank and are only capable of low hp cheap shots.

OP, you had best play now. The teams server may never come out and the staff nay realize how dumb it is to have TWO PvP servers with totally non classic rulesets and just switch the present one to RZ rules and the new server to Vallon/Gallon rules.

But I'm with you I will play any server no matter how messed up if there is item loot.

More people will quit due to item loot then not having item loot, there is a reason NO pvp box on this emulator has survived with item loot, there are reasons that nobody wants item loot.
On this emulator server you have so many crews that will just stick together, you have vets who had played this game for 14 years, you have other mechanics that were in the game that are not now ( egg shaped pumic, Wands, Conflag wands) there is lots of shit that would make item loot stupid, not to mention the countless hours you have spend getting items, there is no boxing so u cant do shit yourself, how am i suppose to camp a fbss as a warrior, get one then die to pvp? You are absolutly right i could bag it. I am also gonna have to watch out for poeple in my group who wanna gank me at low hp, Say im a warrior with an fbss and some other stuff, and i join a group not knowing its 3 friends. Im tanking and get to 20% Boom nuked and fbss gone.(< you are gonna have that scenario moer then once i can guarantee you that.) Or what about people who wanna camp druid rings and wizard portals now that item loot is in?
It adds alot to the grief part of the game as well.. I see someone naked running for their corpse, ok i let them by, they start looting it, awesome freee gear, So i start nuking him and bam hes dead in 2 nukes, 1 he didnt notice cause he was looting. and i jsut got myself some nice pixels.

i could go on forever this is not 1999 where u had 2000 people on at primetime and it make it exciting, You are gonna have vets who Min/max everything, people who dont fight unless the advantage is on their side 100% of the time, they already do it now. and lots more.

The reason no previous PVP box survived is because they were unreliable boxes that had mad cheating and ended up wiping and wasting all players efforts.

This full custom box with zero attachment to classic experience can freely nerf awesome items like conflag wands and mojo sticks and other over powered loot achieving items if players decide they are too sweet.

People already camp wizard spires and druid rings. So yeah, people will definitely do that.

Group members ganking become 100% non groupable known scum for their behavior because it really makes a difference in item loot. Everything you do has more consequences and players tended to be more friendly and loyal because when they screwed you over they put themselves at greater risk. If you group with untrusty members you put your FBSS away and pull out your thick leather apron. A group is still completely functional with melee characters wearing nothing but sub walmart gear. So what, you don't get to be optimal. Big deal.
