I'm sorry that you would rather people suffer mental health issues and kill everyone because society is cruel and uncaring. P.S. I served honorabley during a time of war and earned this. If you ever served you know what I'm talking about.

It's not easy and you are underpayed and overworked and the stress you put yourself through is on par with a lot of top end athletes.

So chill the fuck out and /pras America were we are free to make our own choices and live our lives peaceably, not by some dogma or dictates of an elite few clergy or what other people tell us.

I'de still be serving if I had gotten help for this earlier and the world was just a little more mature 10 years ago.

The thing about it being a voluntary service is that participants are expected to make a conscious, informed decision about their enlistment. You were free to make your own choice about whether to 'serve', and you chose something that is a lot of work and pays like shit. Take responsibility for your life and your decisions, nobody owes you anything. The entire essence of it being a 'service' means you're not entitled to come back and expect to cash in on a wave of charity, respect, and appreciation. If people choose to give you those things, that's great; however, the tone of your post clearly indicates that you expect those things, which leads me to conclude your decision to 'serve' was driven more by calculated self-interest than altruism.

So which is it? Were you serving us, or were you purchasing our service?
