If you decide you want to leave the Qeynos area, one place you can try is Kurns Tower. It's a long journey, I'd recommend teaming up with a high level druid; he can port you to the Dreadlands, then you can run with him to Karnors Castle (use spirit of the wolf, levitation and camouflage) for an evacuation to the Emerald Jungle. From there have him escort you to the Field of Bone. He will be able to bind you next to the half elf outside the ruins of Kaesora.

Kurns tower will drop a few low value stat leather/chainmail type items as you level up. What you will really be after, though, is the Iksar Berserker Club that drops from the an Undead Jester. This weapon will last you a long time. Whilst in the area, there is a burynai cutter in Field of Bone that you can track from outside Kurn's Tower. He can drop a Polished Stone Anklet. This is a magic foot item that will allow your kicks to damage magical creatures.

I've just remembered another fairly easily acquirable weapon; whilst chilling in the Karanas keep an eye out for the Ghoul Messenger (I think he spawns in the east side of West Karana and moves around close to the path there). Keep refreshing /who whilst in the zone, if you see a player in their 30s (or above) ask them if they will help you kill this ghoul. Take the strategic map of Kithicor it drops to Morin in Kithicor forest to be rewarded with the Short Sword of Morin.

I definitely want those 2 weapons. I saved enough coin for a port Qeynos > WC and tried some hunting around EC.

But, at level 5 it was more reliable to just repeat the diseased wolf pelts quest in QH til' I can kill gnolls in BB at some point. At least now I have some things to look forward to on my radar with this help. Really appreciate it.

Sharpening stone quest.
Rusty sword + sharpening stone + forge = tarnished sword.
Save all that time running for whacking and collecting plats.
Then just go do the EC quest for a 30pp sword faster that way.
Always the quickest path is the direct path.

Ask for something in EC tunnel.

I might even open my bags to you if you make the trek and no one helps you.

I'm a man of my word, PM me.

If anyone does decide to go the Bull Smasher route, one thing to be careful of is that the weapon is not considered Magic, meaning you won't be able to hit wisps, ghouls, and the like with it. Other than that, it is a great lowbie weapon for the few races/classes that can use it.

Pace is crawling but at least with Crook I can kill blues and not wonder if I have to run away mid fight.
