make YT for level 60 only

Xp bonus makes it a better idea to leave people alone because you might group with them later. The only people who pvp at those levels, do it for the yt. Take away yt, take out low level pvp. Added difficulty of all of the people that would normally do low level pvp will now have a level 50 ready to gank newly leveled 46's.

take away lower level pvp or griefing? killing 10s with a fungi aint pvp, its a slaughter. no character at that level can out dps a fungi. by 46 even twinks can be killed. ice comet gonna ice comet regardless of your leet gears.

i think if you are big enough to go into the planes and contest dragons, you are big enough to get dunked on. 46+ seems like the fairest level range. trust me, take a shit and think about it. you will see the light.

PVP is fun the whole way up. Some of the best times I had on this server were running 3-4 versus 4-6 in mistmoore when Charles Bronson first started on here with groups ranging from 25-35. Way more of a variance in class abilities and typically gear at that point. Mid 20's - mid 30's pvp best pvp.

Taking away YT doesn't really change how fun that is, but it seems like the presumption behind this change request is that mid level PVP doesn't matter, or that it isn't representative of actual player skill, or that it demotivates people, but these are problems at any level, I'd say even more so 50+ than pre-46.

If there's no YT for those levels, why not no YT period? (I don't support that idea, just saying)

'Picking a Side' doesn't dictate every pvp situation you get into (lots of 1v1's, 1v2's, 3v3's and so on to be had, zerging only happens in dungeons on raid nights). Similarly, prevalence of plugging at the high end game and the general prioritization of targets by class in mass pvp only serves to skew the actual value of YT on the high end. Rich get Richer, Poor get Poorer.

Gear is also not inherent post 46, especially with the rate of XP on this server. My bard was lvl 50+ before he had all his slots filled, even just with bronze and crap. My paladin is part way through the 20's and still has mostly leather/cloth/bronze.

There's also nothing more satisfying than dunking on a fungi twink on a low level alt, ESPECIALLY when they're the type to take YT very seriously and serial plug. When you finally get them, you know how much it hurts them to mar their perfect record. I don't mind eating a couple YT's to get YT on a twink that has a 30-0 record against rag-wearing genuine newbs, because I know it means more to them than it does to me.

This, coming from a bad pvp'er with bad gear who's on the butt end of YT quite commonly. Doesn't change my motivation to jump back in for gudfites. I think all of the issues you've identified are issues with YT in general, not really issues with mid level YT.

Now if plugging could result in a 'cowardly dog' message, we'd have something. Those lvl 30 fungi twinks wouldn't seem so unstoppable and all the stormy weather 'elite pvp'ers' experience would be a bit more obvious to the general public.

Who said anything about twinks? I have a friend that just started the server, has crap gear and only PvPs for the yt.

Keep it how it is or you'll end up with worse.

this idea didnt just come to me out of nowhere. ive been helping new players and the majority of them dont like the idea of being "humiliated" from the get go. pvp happened before YT, it will continue without it. what i am proposing is that only higher end pvp get broadcasted.

I get that but you don't seem to get that the people who care enough to twink a level 9 ranger for crushbone yt will just move their operation to the next available xp spot that gives yt. Only you'll have the crushbone, unrest and mm twinks sitting in said zone and you'll have newly leveled 46's with close to no pvp xp getting farmed for yt. Honestly doesn't affect me either way but I don't think you're considering everything.

Friend doesn't know how to plug AFAIK btw.

pvp is gonna happen before 46 regardless of forum threads, YT, leaderboard, global OOC, Kunark, velious, employment, ect. Why in the world do you have this idea that pvp didnt happen before YT? did you not see my thread i posted a week ago? no YT and pre 46, yet pvp happened and that is only 1/20th of my screenshots maybe?

Ugggg, yes pvp happened before yt. But now that yt is an incentive to pvp for some, it's going to get concentrated into the range that it becomes available if it's threshold is so high. Honestly if it's such a big problem, why not remove it completely? It's the same effect all the way to 60.
