Henini....thanks much for the explanation...that has helped me understand a bit how to pursue it, think I have got it now, on disc 3 at least, should work the same from here. Thanks for all the help, will chime back in if still stuck

it's alt+tab but that will only work if you have something else opened.

so open the folder where the disc images are or open a web browser or something, this will enable you to alt+tab out of the eq full screen and into something not full screen which will give you access to the system tray.

Ok, next problem.....wont allow me to save changes to the eqhost file...i copy and paste the new address in, wont work...am i an idiot or what here...lol

emmm... you trying to modify it where it is installed on your pc?

eq is not open?

which version of windows you using?

unless something is accessing the file, you should be able to modify it.

Windows Vista. Have not hit anything to open it yet, went straight into program files, drilled down to eqhost notepad txt file, then trying to update with cut/paste of new address. Wont let me save it....give me a few and ill get error message

right click on the file and check the properties, seems like it's write protected. it shouldn't be though, so there might be an other problem, this being just a consequence.

i amgeting the

"Cannot create C:/program files/sony/everquest/eqhost.text file

Make sure the path and file name are correct"

the file is not write protected, even if i try to replace it, will not let me

No worries, im in! Just copied the file to desktop, deleted original, and replaced it. Seems to be working just fine.
