Miscellaneous: Aviak faction in SK

To be honest I don't think I used my bard faction song either. But the enchanter versions do indeed work and have been for several months now.

Ok I've figured out why I am now scowling to the aviaks. Killing Knari Morawk gives a negative faction hit to Aviak faction. What I haven't confirmed is that it was this way on live because I didn't kill him enough times there. He's way more common here because he shares a spawn point with an Aviak Avocet and seems to pop about a quarter of the time.

Bump. I took my ogre to SK to do some xping and the aviaks there are kos to him. Had to sprint to the zone (as fast as a fatty can) to avoid being pummeled by a yellow rook that agroed me to my surprise.

According to Alla's, the only Aviaks that should hate Ogres would be those in Lake Rathe. Can we get this fixed? Looks like it's been outstanding for a while. Below is a quote from Alla's showing the LR Aviaks have their own faction. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure Aviaks in South Karana were dubious to everyone except Ogres, and Trolls. They were threateningly to them. They were apprehensive to Wood Elves, and Indifferent to Iksars. I might be missing one other race that was apprehensive, but I think that's pretty much the rundown. Will see if I can find any info on this.

Thanks. I never played an ogre on live, but as far as I know they are not on any faction. When you kill one, there is no faction message. Killing Crags in Butcherblock give you a faction hit, which is the same as aviaks in Lake Rathetear - but looking at my quote from Alla's above, it sure seems that the ones in SK should be at least dubious to all races.

In fact, looks at Guineapig's post from November 2010:

Many months ago it was proven that SK aviaks should always be Dubious to everyone regardless of race/religion and that faction should not change.

From my research, trolls/ogres threatening. Other races range from dubious to indifferent.

Not sure what there is to fix? They are already threatening to my ogre. What research proved they should be threatening? Did you take an ogre to SK on live? The Alla's quote of aviaks on LR being the only ones on that faction, plus Guineapig's show the opposite.

I use the EQmac server for this type of thing. Some of the races had wrong faction with aviaks here and that is what is fixed pending update.

Side story: I remember having to petition a GM back in 1999 because I went exploreing on my low level troll and was killed and camped by a aviak avocent that was stuck on the lake rathetear/south karana zoneline. I am pretty sure it was always like this.

So is it confirmed that it is correct that killing Knari Morawk gives bad Aviak faction? I just ate a death today from an Avocet while I was doing nothing (and hidden and afk, but heh) and they are all threatening to me now. I have killed a lot of Knari Morawks though.
