Outsider's perspective:

I always chortle when people look down their noses at a guild for insufficient relative skill in pooping in socks.

Is BDA incapable of killing mobs or are they just less capable of fielding a raid-capable force 24/7 or hell even 12/7?
Incapable of killing mobs or just less capable of killing mobs with a bunch of neckbeards stalking and skulking vulture style for the slightest of slip-ups?

To be honest, a guild that gets fewer kills due to not being competitive for >80% of the available HOURS p99 is online doesn't imply failure ... it actually implies a greater degree of success in RL.

So yeah, my outsider's perspective is that the most competitive raiding forces on this server are only the most successful for one of two (or both) reasons:

1) higher number of available total players
2) willingness of said raiding playerbase to fuck themselves in RL for pixels on an old emulated game.

Raiding on p99 has nothing to do with skill, only willingness to sacrifice your fucking life for a video game.

For the record: I'm not in BDA, the FAT alliance, Rampage, or any raid-competitive guild. There was a time when I raided 20-40 hours a week on live and was cutting edge ... but then I grew the fuck up.

eh, anytime you play a video game you are sacrificing your life to play it so you kind of just sound like a nerd calling other people nerds and its a pretty dumb argument. you people have some strange ideas about how raiders operate. its not about poopsocking for 12 hours at a time its about having the people in the guild to be commited to being competitive with FTE's. im not a big raider but i ended up in forsaken since i was guildless and got an offer, and the only difference ive seen between it and casual guilds are the ammount of people who are actively working towards the raid goals. people take shifts. when people have to park a character for a raid target they just play an alt. theres hardly any difference from soloing for an hour or two and tracking/fte watching for an hour or two. its more about having the right set of people that actually cares about raiding and wants to put in the effort, not about the lack of lives.

you just sound plain fucking dumb when you critisize other people for playing this game with different goals, just because you think your leveling or whatever you waste your life on is just so much more acceptable.

Maybe they will comment on FAT killing both CT and KT so far on this repop.
3 guilds for 1 mob. Sounds like a great time.

Bregan d'Aspgers was the best thread name of 2015.

More seriously though, I was wondering why BDA was going in-fucking-sane in RnF lately, then I checked their guild thread and saw their pretty much kill a VP dragon here and then and sometimes raid broodmother in Velks.

makes sense. Lot of free time indeed

Sigh. It helps to be informed.

BDA is a group home guild located outside Chicago. We have three houses, each house has 2 home leaders. These people are the in game officers.

On any given day, we have a lot more going than eq. Saturday, we made pancakes. Some of us had trouble, but at the end of the day, even the guild hamans learned how to make a pancake without burning it.

When we log on, we have one goal in mind and one goal only: life skills. We learn cooperation, communication, and comradery -- the three c's.

We usually pick something hard, but afterwards we always have pizza and juiceboxes, unless people did NOT PAY ATTENTION, in which case we usually just watch America's Funniest Home Video reruns until lights out.

So go ahead, make fun. But sometimes we kills dragons. That usually means, extra Count Chocula tomorrow morning. Way better than pixels suckers.

Troxx with the surprising accuracy in RnF. Hasgard Krew will continue being toxic, too much immersion.

Lack of skill has nothing to do with it. Chest has posted this many times. Tank Def rotation, CH rotation, people standing around corners as they should and DPS doing DPS.

Easy peasy.

We don't update our guild thread or front page with every single kill. When we kill something new or have a really impressive weekend we might, but generally we don't care. We finished 2 necro epics, a bard epic, killed some VP shit, killed some lessor Velious targets, did HoT, and got fed up with all the rule breaking in ToV yesterday.

Believe what you want though I guess.
