I just use the 'find-random-high-level-in-raid-guild' tactic. It has a 100% rate of not losing my stuff. Which is a higher percent.
yeah, if you dont have any friends around just find a high lvl in tunnel

dont drop transfer if ur not willing to risk losing the stuff

How exactly do you lose items drop transferring unless your internet happens to go out right in the middle? Assuming nobody else picks the items, because one would have to be silly to do drop transfers in a populated zone.

I don't do drop transfers here, but on live I would run into an issue where the item would appear on the ground but ungrabbable.

People can get temp IP bans when switching between accounts too quick. Also NPC's pick up items if they happen to walk over them. They disappear after a few mins also if not picked up.

Well the first 2 are easily avoidable.

How long do items last on the ground if not picked up? We should test this.

pretty sure its like 5 mins or somewhere between 4-7. I would wager if Sirken or one of the guides would comment they probably get more drop xfer petitions then you would think. My favorite spot with cheap items was above EC tunnel. Find a AFK ogre or troll sitting above tunnel and drop the items behind them. Didnt have to do this too often though as i could usually find 1 person to trust to xfer stuff.

Lately in the evenings there'll be a dial a port guy named Entrepreneur in the EC tunnel doing transfers for tips, I used him last night no problem.
