Fat/Calories wise -- eggs are pretty good. Some fat (good fat) some protein. They even have K-2 in them. But obviously if your whole damn family is on blood pressure meds since their 40s -- your the kind of guy that should watch out for eggs. Also, not a great idea to overindulge in red meat or shell fish.

This is a pretty funny video on a time travelling dietitian that is germane. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ua-WVg1SsA

This is a paleo approuch that works for some people. Eat lots of meats, veggies, and fats. But -- basically no carbs except what your getting from the veggies and maybe some nuts or something. Your body burns fat at like 9 calories per unit instead of carbs at 4 calories per unit (protein is 7 per unit). So essentially you can eat more if its mostly fat and protein... I can't eat like that forever. And I like to splurge on a peice of pie for the holidays without throwing my whole system out of wack. I feel better eating less and eating carbs and having my body run off those carbs (some report the same, some the opposite). That's the diet I can live on...and the key thing for everyone. What can you live on? If its this no carb style -- I say go for it. But I personally got sick of it after a year or 2 when I tried it at 18-19. Edit: just remember before doing Paelo guys: no half-assing it. You can't eat too many carbs for it to work and should stay on it until you are the size you want to be.

I do appreciate the motivation to educate others on diet and exercise, but you need to be careful what you put out there, because of a lot of this information is simply not accurate. And just like on facebook, people will believe shit on the internet without doing their own research.

So essentially your body will be able to process 2600 calories like it was 1300 (just a guesstimate from a non-professional). Not to mention you would have a higher rate of static calories being burnt for the caloric deficit math. I did lose like 50+ ;lbs on atkins eating lots of calories a day and not even exercising -- but I never got completely "thin" that way. But I'm sure if I restricted calories and stayed on it with exercise -- it would have worked. I've seen it work for others. BTW: if he was 500 lbs and lost 90 -- its not really the same as if he was 270 and lost 90. Also -- we have no idea what his previous diet was like. Finally, you don't seem to acknowledge ketosis is a thing. It is.

I've cured a few cases of fatness. The key is to grant the soul-dead with sex that they realize would be even more revelatory if they weren't fat slobs with glucose-shock-induced cheese brain. Once it realizes that real carnal joy is something you only get when you walk in God's light the heart of a glutton is real mighty. It just need a little guidance ^^
