I use JBoots in outdoor zones and the Rod in indoor zones. The nice thing about the rod is that you can click it from your inventory once you get your epic!

This is what I used as an enchanter until I completed ring 9 (which frees up an inventory slot, because I wear it, and also gives me a junk buff)

if your a necro..go do the quest for "words of darkness"

Its click is a low level lich spell that won't overwrite your current one.
Usable from inventory so it saves a item slot.

Any tips for getting the book of darkness in lake rathe for this quest? The NPC you need to kill stands next to a level 49 wizard who assists >.>
