Stands for "denial of service". The server is getting a ton of requests, so many that the server can't handle them all.

can we get gm rezes during this period, i died again kiting with server lag, all my gems froze i could move tried to make it to a zone line ran there for a solid min or 2 sowed and it wouldnt let me zone but i could talk in ooc lame
