The problem with looting an item is that the game then becomes all about the no-drop items. You're instantly taking away I-don't-even-know-what-percent of the items out of camping contention that are going to be the most valuable.

I am intrigued by SPK's idea about FV itemization. Everything is tradeable... I think that has actually never been done on a pvp server and could easily bring in population. Plus most of us never played on FV, hmmm it has huge potential imo. Twinks would dominate at the levels they chose to stay at... it would change play style a lot over the time it exists.

Of course you could take them down and get a big item! Sounds pretty fun.

item loot doesnt work.

the people that dont sleep or dont have jobs, and get their raid gear thats no drop, have a retarded advantage.

no point to pretend eq pvp is so "hardcore" cuz its not.

just have fun with what it is


stop trying to prove your lifes worth with eq pvp kills............ and pretending that not sleeping, or playing a character in shifts until your completely geared then finally "pvping" is hardcore....... lol I say letting more than 20 people on the server have fun is a good thing.

Lots of others do not.

1 droppable item, not main hand, off hand, or range.

I think there should be a greater desire for no-drop items, and that droppable items should be commodities.
Again i suggest that we make item loot on a voluntary basis.

Something like an NPC that marks your character as one that can loot and be looted. Only players who has been marked by this NPC can either loot or be looted by other marked players.

That way players who want item loss can participate in it, while others who dont, dont have to.

Its been pointed out that this can be exploited, say with 5 players with noloot status and 1 player who does the killing blow, but if explained thoroughly that this could happen i think this might be some sort of make everyone happy solution.

I played Darkfall pretty hardcore when it came out, cool game with full pvp/full item loot, but the reason it worked so well was because most gear wasn't worth too much.

The problem with item loot in EQ is that when someone takes your FBSS that you spent a few weeks trying to aquire, your gonna want to quit. I agree with Item loot on this server, except people would grief 10x more

There was more to FV than that. Items forced you to do things when they were level appropriate. Magic items were not lootable by people too high/too low to gain EXP.
